Eisenhower Fellowship!

The news of receiving an Eisenhower Fellowship last fall was exciting and created a great opportunity to advance career goals. I was really touched by the article NewRaleigh wrote to recognize this honor. However I had no idea the doors it would open: from getting to know an amazing cast of 8 other US fellows, 21 international fellows, and an astounding network of Eisenhower Fellows and advisors who have helped me put together a true “dream program.” It’s also opened doors in my own mind on what I truly want to learn which has led to some significant conversations. The itinerary that has come out of this took the hard work of many folks, to all of whom I am grateful.

It’s ironic to think of the Independence I’ve been awarded on this day – and hard to believe we leave in 4 days!
